- granulated sugar
- milk - 1 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- butter
- water - 1 c
- baking powder
- egg whites - 6 item
- chopped raisins - 1 c
- Add milk alternately with flour with which baking powder has been sifted
How to make lady baltimore cake:
Beat butter and sugar until very light and creamy. Add milk alternately with flour with which baking powder has been sifted. Beat thoroughly and add the beaten egg whites. Bake about 40 minutes in 2 lightly greased cake pans. Fill with Lady Baltimore filling.Filling:2 c. granulated sugar1 c. water2 egg whites1 c. chopped raisins1 c. chopped nuts Blend sugar and water and boil for 5 minutes. Pour the boiling syrup over the whites of the eggs which have been beaten until stiff. Add the raisins and nuts to half of the mixture and use for filling between layers.
