Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • powdered sugar
  • margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • water or milk - 1 2
  • pie filling or fresh fruit of your choice* - 1 item

How to make kringle:

Frosting:1/2 c. powdered sugar2 Tbsp. margarine1 1/2 tsp. vanilla1 to 2 Tbsp. water or milk Mix flour and butter until crumbly. Add sour cream; mix. Refrigerate overnight or several hours. Roll out into 2 thin rectangular pieces. Fold in half; place on ungreased cookie sheet. (I did one half at a time.) Unfold and put pie filling on half of each rectangle. Fold the other half over top; press down edges with fork. Prick top with fork, also. Frost while still warm.

*I use fresh fruit and thicken with cornstarch as directed on box.
