Ingredients/Components
- water
- cider vinegar - 3/4 c
- clove garlic - 1 item
- pickling salt - 1 Tbsp
- fresh dill - 1 item
- cucumbers or sliced zucchini - 1/2 lb
- piece of hot pepper - 1 item
How to make kosher dill pickles:
Brine:2 1/4 c. water3/4 c. cider vinegar1 Tbsp. pickling salt Prepare the brine and bring to boiling. Slowly pour hot brine over the cucumbers, leaving 1/2-inch headspace. Wipe jar rim. Adjust lid on jar. Process in boiling water bath for 20 minutes. (Start timing as soon as jars are placed in water.)Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
