Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- confectioners sugar - 4 Tbsp
- vegetable oil
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- stick butter, softened - 1 item
- Key lime juice - 1/2 c
- box lime jello - 1 item
- box lemon cake mix - 1 item
- Pour into three eight-inch round, greased and floured cake pans
How to make key lime cake:
Mix first five ingredients; beat two to three minutes at medium speed. Pour into three eight-inch round, greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350° approximately 25 minutes.To glaze, mix confectioners sugar and lime juice. While layers are still warm, drizzle glaze over layers.Icing:1 box confectioners sugar (minus amount used for glaze)1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1 stick butter, softened1 tsp. vanilla Cream together margarine and cream cheese; blend in sugar and vanilla. Ice cake when cooled completely.
