Kentucky pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- egg yolks - 4 item
- vegetable oil
- hot water - 2 Tbsp
- crushed pineapple with juice - 1 c
- sifted self-rising flour
- egg whites, beaten stiffly - 4 item
- cinnamon or 1 tsp - 2 tsp
How to make kentucky pound cake:
Combine all ingredients in order, except nuts and egg whites. Beat well. Add nuts and fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into an ungreased tube pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour or until cake tests done. Let cool in pan. Turn onto platter.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Pineapple.
