Kahlua brownies



  • sugar - 2 c
  • Kahlua - 1/4 c
  • butter or margarine - 2/3 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • large eggs - 3 item
  • chopped walnuts - 3/4 c
  • sifted all-purpose flour
  • sq - 3 oz
  • Kahlua for top of bar - 1 Tbsp

How to make kahlua brownies:

Resift flour with baking powder and salt. Melt butter with chocolate over very low heat or over hot water. Beat eggs with sugar until light. Stir in chocolate mixture and 1/4 cup Kahlua. Add flour mixture and mix well; stir in walnuts. Turn into greased 9-inch square pan, bottom-lined with greased parchment or foil. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes until top springs back. Be careful not to over bake. When cool, brush top with 1 tablespoon Kahlua. Cut into bars.
