Kahlua brownies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- Kahlua - 1/4 c
- butter or margarine - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- large eggs - 3 item
- chopped walnuts - 3/4 c
- sifted all-purpose flour
- sq - 3 oz
- Kahlua for top of bar - 1 Tbsp
How to make kahlua brownies:
Resift flour with baking powder and salt. Melt butter with chocolate over very low heat or over hot water. Beat eggs with sugar until light. Stir in chocolate mixture and 1/4 cup Kahlua. Add flour mixture and mix well; stir in walnuts. Turn into greased 9-inch square pan, bottom-lined with greased parchment or foil. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes until top springs back. Be careful not to over bake. When cool, brush top with 1 tablespoon Kahlua. Cut into bars.Recipe categories: Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie, Brownies.
