Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 Tbsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- Crisco - 1 c
- orange juice - 1/3 c
- or 6 apples, sliced and peeled - 5 item
How to make jewish apple cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Beat altogether until well mixed except the last 3 ingredients. In separate bowl, mix 5 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon. Add apples. Mix and set aside. Alternate batter and apples in well-greased 10-inch tube pan, ending with apples on top. Bake for 1 1/4 hours. Cool 10 minutes. Turn upside down on plate.
