  • sugar - 5 Tbsp
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • oil - 1 c
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • orange juice - 1/2 c
  • to 5 apples, peeled and cut - 4 item

How to make jewish apple cake:

Sprinkle apples with cinnamon and 5 tablespoons sugar. Set aside in a bowl.

In a large bowl, combine flour, 2 cups sugar, oil, eggs, orange juice, baking powder, vanilla and salt. Pour 1/2 batter into a 10-inch tube pan; then halfway down add the apple mixture. Add rest of batter. Before placing into oven, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mix. Preheat oven to 350°. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes. When completely cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
