Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
- chicken broth - 1 qt
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- tomato sauce - 1 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1 c
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- large fryer, cut up - 1 item
- long grain rice uncooked
- sausage, sliced - 1 lb
How to make jambalaya:
Brown meat in oil in large pot. Remove meat and saut?© vegetables. Add seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, broth and tomato sauce; simmer 15 minutes. Add meat and rice; stir. Cover and cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook 20 minutes more over low heat. Serves 8.Recipe categories: Poultry, Meat, Cajun.
