Jambalaya
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
- Minute rice
- small green pepper - 1 item
- hot pepper sauce - 1/2 tsp
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- stalk celery, diced - 1 item
- Polish sausage, sliced - 12 oz
- boned chicken breast, cut in pieces - 1 lb
How to make jambalaya:
Brown chicken in butter in large skillet. Add sausage, green pepper, onion and celery; cook until vegetables are just tender, about 5 minutes. Mix in tomatoes and water; bring to a full boil. Stir in rice, salt and hot pepper sauce. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Makes about 4 servings.Recipe categories: Poultry, Meat, Cajun.
