Jambalaya
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- parsley - 2 tsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper - 1/3 c
- clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
- raw rice - 2 c
- sausage
- onion tops - 1/3 c
- bulk chicken, cooked - 1 lb
- stewing tomatoes - 2 c
How to make jambalaya:
Brown sausage. Cube chicken; set aside. Fry onion in oil. Add flour; cook until flour is brown. Add water and all ingredients; bring to a boil. Lower heat; cover. Raise lid occasionally to stir, but not too often. Cook until rice is tender, about 45 minutes. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Poultry, Meat, Cajun.
