Ingredients/Components
- water - 3/4 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- can chicken broth - 1 item
- bay leaf - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 item
- clove garlic - 1 item
- minced parsley - 2 Tbsp
- cayenne - 1/8 tsp
- diced, cooked ham
- sliced celery - 3/4 c
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- uncooked rice - 3/4 c
- chopped cooked chicken - 1 c
- medium bell pepper, cut in strips - 1 item
How to make jambalaya:
Cook ham, onion, celery, green pepper and garlic in oil in large skillet until onion is soft. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; cover. Simmer 40 minutes, stirring once or twice. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Poultry, Meat, Cajun.
