Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- chopped nuts optional - 1 item
- dash of salt - 1 item
- raspberry or apricot preserves - 1 item
How to make jam tarts:
In mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and butter, beating until well blended. Stir in flour and salt, mixing well. Form into a ball. Cover and chill for 30 minutes. Using about 1 tablespoon dough, press into a 2 1/2-inch tart pan. Keep dough as even in thickness as possible. Trim or shape top evenly. Repeat with remaining dough. Spoon about 1 tablespoon preserves into each tart shell. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes until golden crust.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pies and tarts, Tarts.
