Ingredients/Components
- butter, melted - 2/3 c
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- applesauce - 1 pt
- flour
- blackberry jam - 1 pt
- pecans - 1 c
- raisins - 1 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- ginger - 1 tsp
- soda
- Add applesauce and jam
- brown sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
How to make jam cake:
Cream sugar, melted butter and eggs. Add applesauce and jam. Sift in another bowl flour, soda and spices. Save a small amount of flour and mix the raisins with the flour. Add flour mixture and raisins. Bake at 400°.Icing For Jam Cake:1 stick butter1 c. brown sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. evaporated milk1 lb. powdered sugar Bring first four ingredients to boil and cool 1 minute.
