  • eggs - 2 item
  • applesauce - 1 pt
  • flour
  • blackberry jam - 1 pt
  • pecans - 1 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • cloves - 1 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • soda
  • Add applesauce and jam
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • evaporated milk - 1/2 c
  • powdered sugar - 1 lb

How to make jam cake:

Cream sugar, melted butter and eggs. Add applesauce and jam. Sift in another bowl flour, soda and spices. Save a small amount of flour and mix the raisins with the flour. Add flour mixture and raisins. Bake at 400°.Icing For Jam Cake:1 stick butter1 c. brown sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. evaporated milk1 lb. powdered sugar Bring first four ingredients to boil and cool 1 minute. Mix in powdered sugar and spread on cake.
