Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 3/4 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- eggs, well beaten - 4 item
- allspice - 1 tsp
- walnuts - 1 c
- jam strawberry, blackberry and plum at least; may also include raspberry, peach, apricot and cherry
- soda, mixed with the buttermilk - 1 tsp
- raisins mix of brown and golden - 1 c
How to make jam cake:
Cream butter. Add sugar. Add eggs. Add jam. Add flour and spice alternately with buttermilk and soda mixture. Fold in nuts and raisins. Bake in Bundt pan at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Once baked, keeps several weeks.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Grains.
