Italian sausage and peppers
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- large onions, sliced - 2 item
- oregano leaves - 1/2 tsp
- large green peppers, cut into strips - 2 item
- hot or sweet Italian sausage links
How to make italian sausage and peppers:
In large skillet over medium heat, heat Italian sausage links with water to boiling. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Remove cover; continue cooking and turning sausages frequently until water evaporates and sausage links are well browned, about 20 minutes. Remove sausages to paper towels to drain.Pour off all but 3 tablespoons fat from skillet; add green peppers, onions, salt and oregano leaves. Over medium heat, cook until vegetables are tender. Add cooked sausage to vegetables, heat through.
