Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • oregano
  • olive oil - 2 tsp
  • chopped parsley - 1/4 c
  • garlic cloves, minced - 2 item
  • can mushrooms - 1 oz
  • cans tomatoes - 2 lb
  • thyme - 1/4 tsp
  • Accent - 1/2 tsp
  • medium onion, sliced - 1 item

How to make italian meat sauce:

In large skillet, cook onion in hot oil until almost tender. Add meat and garlic; brown lightly. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer uncovered 2 to 2 1/2 hours, until sauce has thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf and serve.
