Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 3 Tbsp
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • tomato sauce - 1 can
  • chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • finely chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • beef broth - 1/2 c
  • ground chuck - 1 lb
  • herb seasoned stuffing - 1/2 c

How to make italian meat loaf:

Saute onion in butter until tender. In large bowl, combine stuffing and beef broth. Add all but the last 2 ingredients; mix lightly until well blended. Shape into loaf and place in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Pour tomato sauce over top and sprinkle with oregano. Continue baking 30 minutes longer. Serves 4 to 6.
