Italian meat loaf
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 3 Tbsp
- oregano - 1 tsp
- tomato sauce - 1 can
- chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- finely chopped onion - 1/4 c
- beef broth - 1/2 c
- ground chuck - 1 lb
- herb seasoned stuffing - 1/2 c
How to make italian meat loaf:
Saute onion in butter until tender. In large bowl, combine stuffing and beef broth. Add all but the last 2 ingredients; mix lightly until well blended. Shape into loaf and place in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Pour tomato sauce over top and sprinkle with oregano. Continue baking 30 minutes longer.
