Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- egg yolks - 5 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- shortening - 1 c
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
- egg whites, stiffly beaten - 5 item
- small can coconut - 1 item
- stick margarine, softened - 1/2 item
- butter or 1 stick margarine - 1/2 c
- Cream Cheese Frosting - 1 item
- Add yolks and beat well
How to make italian cream cake:
Cream shortening and margarine; add sugar and beat until mixture is smooth. Add yolks and beat well. Combine flour and soda and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in vanilla. Add coconut and chopped nuts. Fold in stiffly beatenRecipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
