  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • plain flour - 2 c
  • stick butter or margarine - 1 item
  • Angel Flake coconut - 1 c
  • Add eggs, one at a time
  • box xxx sugar - 1 item

How to make italian cream cake:

Cream butter, oil and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour, salt, soda and buttermilk. Mix well. Add nuts and coconut. Divide into 3 layers. Bake at 300° until done.Frosting:10 oz. cream cheese1 stick butter or margarine1 box xxx sugar Cream well the cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar. Spread on cake and sprinkle nuts.
