- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- butter - 1 c
- eggs, separated - 5 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- nuts - 1 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
- nuts optional - 1/2 c
- can coconut - 1 item
- Stir together the flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture
How to make italian cream cake:
Cream together the margarine, Crisco, sugar and egg yolks. Stir together the flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold in. Add nuts and coconut. Bake in 3 greased and floured pans for 30Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
