Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 1 item
  • eggs, beaten - 3 item
  • sliced fresh mushrooms - 8 oz
  • chicken broth - 1 c
  • Italian bread crumbs - 1 item
  • grated Muenster cheese - 3/4 lb
  • boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite size pieces - 2 pkg
  • dry white wine, if desired - 1/2 c

How to make italian chicken:

Soak chicken pieces in beaten eggs overnight. Roll chicken pieces in Italian bread crumbs and saute in butter. Arrange pieces in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Add to the drippings in your frying pan, 1 cup chicken broth and 1/2 cup dry white wine. Pour over chicken; top with mushrooms and grated Muenster cheese. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes (decrease oven temperature to 325° if using a glass baking dish).
