Iron skillet chocolate pie



  • sugar - 1 c
  • milk - 1 c
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • stick margarine - 1/2 item
  • eggs, separated - 3 item
  • cocoa - 2 Tbsp
  • vanilla to taste - 1 item

How to make iron skillet chocolate pie:

Mix sugar, flour and cocoa in small mixing bowl. Melt margarine in an iron skillet; add sugar mixture. Beat egg yolks. Add milk; beat together. Add a little at a time to mixture in skillet, stirring constantly. Cook slowly until thick. Add vanilla; cool. Pour into 8-inch pie crust (cooked). Top with meringue of egg whites. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 400°. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
