  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • olive oil - 5 Tbsp
  • carrots, peeled and sliced - 2 item
  • garlic cloves, minced - 3 item
  • large onion, sliced - 1 item
  • can beef broth - 1 1/2
  • bacon slices - 6 item
  • ground mace - 1/2 tsp
  • boneless leg of lamb, cubed - 2 lb
  • can cut up peeled tomatoes, undrained - 1 oz

How to make irish lamb stew:

Preheat oven to 350°. In a 5 or 6-quart Dutch oven, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp, about 10 minutes. Remove bacon; drain off and discard fat.
