Individual baked alaska
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- vanilla extract - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- egg whites - 2 item
- cream of tartar - 1/8 tsp
- crushed peppermint stick - 2 Tbsp
- individual sponge cake cups - 2 item
- chocolate-coated peppermint ice cream patties - 2 item
How to make individual baked alaska:
Combine egg whites, cream of tartar, vanilla and salt in a mixer bowl. Beat until soft peaks form. Add sugar gradually, beating constantly until stiff peaks form. Place sponge cakes on a foil-lined wooden cutting board. Place 1 ice cream patty in each cup. Cover each with meringue, sealing meringue to bottom of sponge cups. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candy. Bake at 500° for 2 to 3 minutes or until light brown. Serve immediately. Serves 2.Recipe categories: Desserts, Frozen desserts, Low protein.
