Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 5 c
- butter or margarine - 4 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- molasses - 1/2 c
- pumpkin pie spice - 1 tsp
- yellow cornmeal - 1/2 c
How to make indian pudding:
Combine 2 cups of milk with cornmeal. Heat until boiling. Add rest of the ingredients and simmer 5 minutes. Stir often.Pour into buttered 8-cup baking dish. Stir in 2 more cups of milk. Bake at 325° for 1 hour. Then stir in 1 more cup of milk. Bake 2 hours more or until set. Serve warm with cream or ice cream. Yields 6 to 10 servings.
