Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 7 pt
- salt - 1 pt
- water - 1 gal
- Drain
- handful pickling spice - 1 item
- pickles 4-inches in length - 2 gal
How to make icicle pickle:
Combine and let set 4 days. Drain. Add boiling water. Stand 24 hours. Drain. Cut pickles in strips. Pour boiling water and add lump alum size of egg. Stand 24 hours. Drain.Syrup:2 1/2 qt. vinegar7 pt. sugar1 handful pickling spice1 Tbsp. salt Pour syrup over pickles and let stand 24 hours. Pack in jars and cover with hot syrup.
