Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- self-rising flour - 4 c
- mashed potatoes - 1 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- sweet milk - 1 c
- Crisco or butter - 3/4 c
How to make icebox rolls:
Put yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Let stand 10 minutes. Mash potatoes; add Criso, sugar, beaten eggs, milk and yeast. Let stand 10 minutes. Knead in 4 cups self-rising flour. Let rise; then knead again and put in icebox or bake. Sometimes it takes a little more flour to make out your rolls. I pinch off and put my rolls in muffin tins and make clover leaf rolls."She looketh well to the ways of her household and eateth not the bread of idleness." Proverbs 31:27
