Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- cold water - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- sifted flour - 3 c
- cream of tartar - 1 tsp
- finely chopped pecans or walnuts - 1 c
How to make icebox cookies:
Cream shortening. Add sugar, eggs, flour and vanilla. Mix well and add nuts. Dissolve soda in water and add last, mixing well. Form dough into small rolls, wrap in wax paper and chill overnight.
