- graham cracker crumbs - 1 c
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- egg - 1 item
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
- margarine
How to make icebox cookies:
Icing:6 Tbsp. margarine3 Tbsp. milk1 lb. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with whole graham crackers (cut some to fit). Melt 2 sticks margarine, sugar, egg and 1/2 cup milk. Cook until it thickens (slightly). Remove from heat and add graham cracker crumbs, coconut, nuts and vanilla. Spread over whole crackers in pan. Add another layer of whole graham crackers.Icing: Beat margarine, powdered sugar, milk (more if needed) and vanilla. Spread on graham crackers and refrigerate for several hours. Cut in small pieces.
