Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cream of tartar
- medium eggs - 3 item
- box light brown sugar - 1 lb
- sifted all purpose flour - 4 c
- pecans or walnuts, finely chopped - 1 c
How to make icebox cookies:
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla to creamed mixture and beat well. Sift together flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add nuts. Put dough in waxed paper lined loaf pans and place in refrigerator overnight. Slice and bake in a 375° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Egg, Cookie and brownie.
