Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- vanilla ice cream
- Cool Whip - 4 oz
- margarine - 1/3 c
- crushed graham crackers
- frozen orange juice - 2 Tbsp
- miniature chocolate chips - 1/4 c
How to make ice cream pudding pie:
Filling:1 qt. vanilla ice cream1 (4 oz.) pkg. instant chocolate pudding1/4 c. miniature chocolate chips1 (4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding4 oz. Cool Whip2 Tbsp. frozen orange juice Crust: Melt margarine. Stir in sugar and graham crackers; mix well. Spread into a 9-inch deep pie pan. Press on bottom and up sides to form a firm even crust. Chill 1 hour.Filling: Stir half of ice cream in a mixing bowl to soften. Add dry chocolate pudding mix and stir until well mixed. Stir in chocolate pieces. Spoon mixture into crust. Set in freezer. Stir remaining ice cream in a mixing bowl to soften. Stir in dry vanilla pudding mix and orange juice. Fold in some Cool Whip, as much as you like. Spoon over chocolate mixture. Freeze pie, covered, 6 to 24 hours before serving. Add more Cool Whip. Makes 8 servings.
