Ingredients/Components

  • salt
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • water
  • cider vinegar - 3/4 tsp
  • dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
  • paprika
  • Worcestershire sauce - 3 Tbsp
  • ketchup - 6 Tbsp
  • medium onions - 2 item
  • noodles - 6 oz
  • beef cubes - 1 lb

How to make hungarian goulash:

Place meat cubes and minced onion into a pot. Measure 1 cup water in a 2-cup measure. Add all other ingredients (except 1/2 cup water and flour). Stir together thoroughly and pour over meat. Bring to a boil, then simmer several hours until tender.

Blend flour with remaining 1/2 cup water. Add to meat mixture; stir until thickened. Serve meat over cooked noodles. Serves 2.
