Hungarian cucumber salad



  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • cold water - 1/2 c
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • white vinegar - 1/2 c
  • large firm cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced - 2 item
  • couple of grindings of black pepper - 1 item

How to make hungarian cucumber salad:

Several hours before serving, slice the cucumbers as thin as you possibly can. Place them in a glass bowl. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over cucumbers. Toss them gently to coat. Cover tightly and refrigerate until serving time. Makes 6
