- salt - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- head cabbage - 1 item
- rice uncooked - 1/2 c
- large bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- large can sauerkraut - 1 item
- jowl bacon - 1 item
How to make hungarian cabbage rolls:
Mix egg, beef, onion, rice, salt and bell pepper together and fill cabbage leaves. Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with sliced jowl bacon, then spread sauerkraut over this. Layer cabbage rolls on top of this and spread with tomato soup. Bake, covered, at 350° for 3 hours.Recipe categories: Main dish, European, Hungarian.
