Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/3 c
- lemon juice - 1/3 c
- paprika - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- olive oil - 1 item
- tahini - 1/4 c
- clove fresh garlic - 1 item
- can garbanzo beans, rinsed - 1 oz
How to make hummus:
Put tahini, water, lemon juice and garlic in a blender. Add a little salt and pepper. Blend until smooth, adding a few beans at a time. Cover and chill.Before serving, add a little olive oil and paprika.
Note: Garlic from a jar can often be too salty. Using more tahini will help counteract this if fresh garlic is not used. Dehydrated garlic will NOT work.
