  • water - 1/3 c
  • lemon juice - 1/3 c
  • paprika - 1 item
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • olive oil - 1 item
  • tahini - 1/4 c
  • clove fresh garlic - 1 item
  • can garbanzo beans, rinsed - 1 oz

How to make hummus:

Put tahini, water, lemon juice and garlic in a blender. Add a little salt and pepper. Blend until smooth, adding a few beans at a time. Cover and chill.

Before serving, add a little olive oil and paprika.

Note: Garlic from a jar can often be too salty. Using more tahini will help counteract this if fresh garlic is not used. Dehydrated garlic will NOT work.
