How to make hummingbird cake:

Combine all dry ingredients in large bowl. Add sugar and oil, stirring in dry ingredients until moistened. Do not beat. Stir in vanilla, pineapple, 1 cup nuts and bananas. Spoon into 3 well-greased and floured 9-inch pans. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove and cool.

Frosting: Combine cream cheese and butter; beat until smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla. Frost cake and sprinkle remaining nuts on top and between layers of cake. Store loosely.
