  • black walnuts - 1/4 c
  • crushed pineapple undrained - 1 (8

  • margarine, softened - 1 c
  • box confectioners sugar - 1 oz
  • chopped nuts - 1 c

How to make hummingbird cake:

Cream Cheese Frosting:2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1 c. margarine, softened1 (14 oz.) box confectioners sugar2 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts For cake, combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add eggs and oil stirring until moistened (do not use mixer). Stir in vanilla, pineapple and nuts. Add bananas last. Spoon batter into 3 (9-inch) greased cake pans and bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

For frosting, mix cream cheese and margarine and add sugar, beating until fluffy, then add vanilla and nuts.
