Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • pkg
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • oil - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • can crushed pineapple - 1 item
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • mashed bananas - 2 c
  • pecans - 2 c

How to make hummingbird cake:

Frosting:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese2 tsp. vanilla dash of salt1 stick margarine Stir all dry ingredients together, except nuts. Add other ingredients and mix well; do not beat. Add nuts last. Cook in 11 x 16 x 3-inch pan for 30 to 40 minutes in 325° oven.

Frosting: Cream together ingredients until smooth. Spread on cake.
