Hummingbird cake
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- granulated sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- oil
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar - 28 oz
- pecans - 3/4 c
- eggs, well beaten - 3 item
- black walnuts - 1/4 c
- crushed pineapple, undrained - 8 oz
- chopped banana - 2 c
- Add eggs and oil, stirring until moist
- butter, not margarine, room temperature - 1 c
How to make hummingbird cake:
Combine all dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs and oil, stirring until moist. Do not use mixer. Stir in vanilla, pineapple and nuts. Finally, add bananas. Spoon batter into 3 well greased and floured 9 inch round cake pans. Bake in preheated 35Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
