Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- shredded cabbage - 2 c
- slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled - 5 item
How to make hot slaw:
In mixing bowl, sprinkle cabbage with salt. Let stand 1/2 hour at room temperature. Fry bacon until crisp; drain on paper towel and crumble. Sprinkle over cabbage. In skillet, bring to boil vinegar, water sugar and pepper. Pour over cabbage. Serve warm.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Vegetables.
