Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1 Tbsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • shredded cabbage - 2 c
  • slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled - 5 item

How to make hot slaw:

In mixing bowl, sprinkle cabbage with salt. Let stand 1/2 hour at room temperature. Fry bacon until crisp; drain on paper towel and crumble. Sprinkle over cabbage. In skillet, bring to boil vinegar, water sugar and pepper. Pour over cabbage. Serve warm.
