Hot potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- plain flour - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chicken broth - 3 c
- sliced mushrooms - 1 c
- chopped chives - 1 item
- celery - 1/2 c
- diced, peeled potatoes - 4 c
- bacon drippings - 1/4 c
- grated Swiss or Cheddar cheese
- to 6 slices bacon, diced - 4 item
How to make hot potato soup:
Saute diced bacon in large saucepan. Add onion, celery and mushrooms. Saute until soft. Blend in flour over medium heat until golden brown. Stir in chicken broth and milk.
