Hot pepper jelly



  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • cups sugar - 6-1/2 item
  • bottle Certo - 1 item
  • cup hot fresh peppers, ground - 1 item
  • cups apple cider or vinegar - 1-1/2 item

How to make hot pepper jelly:

Seed and grind peppers fine, using rubber gloves. Mix peppers, sugar, vinegar and lemon juice in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and cool 5 minutes. Add Certo; mix thoroughly. Let stand a few minutes; stir again. Pour into sterilized jars. Yields about 12 baby food jars.
