Ingredients/Components

  • self-rising flour - 2 c
  • sugar - 2 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 4 item
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp

How to make hot milk cake:

Blend dry ingredients; add eggs and mix well. Set aside. In saucepan melt margarine in milk until hot. Slowly combine flour mixture with hot milk. Add vanilla; mix well. Bake in tube pan 45 minutes at 350° .

Great as a shortcake or with your favorite glaze or frosting.
