Hot fudge sundae cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- hottest tap water
- favorite ice cream - 1 item
How to make hot fudge sundae cake:
Heat oven to 350°. In ungreased 9 x 9-inch square pan, stir together the flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons of cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Pour hot water over batter. Bake 40 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Spoon into dishes or cut into squares, invert and top with ice cream.To cook in microwave: Measure the water into 2-cup glass measure. Place in microwave to boil, about 4 minutes. Use ungreased glass square pan or may substitute ungreased 2-quart glass casserole for square pan. Pour boiling water over batter. Cook, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes or until cake is no longer doughy. Let stand a few minutes; spoon into dessert dishes.
