Hot fruit compote
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- curry powder - 2 tsp
- stick oleo - 1 item
- can pineapple chunks - 1 oz
- can sliced peaches - 1 oz
- fruit juice - 2 c
- large jar maraschino cherries, drained - 1 item
- can halved apricots - 1 oz
- can pears, cut in quarters - 1 oz
- can pitted Royal cherries, drained overnight save juice - 1 item
How to make hot fruit compote:
Cook the oleo, brown sugar, curry powder, fruit juice and flour until thick. Add pecans and cherries. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Super with ham, chicken, turkey and roast beef.Recipe categories: Low protein, Fruit, Side dish.
