Hot fruit compote
Ingredients/Components
- can peach halves - 1 oz
- can pear halves - 1 oz
- can apricot halves - 1 1/2
- can pitted dark cherries, rinsed well - 1 oz
- to 3 bananas, sliced soak in lemon juice 10 minutes - 2 item
- soft coconut macaroons, crumbled - 12 item
- butter - 1/4 c
- Amaretto - 1/3 c
- sliced almonds optional - 1 item
How to make hot fruit compote:
Drain all fruit well. Arrange half of the fruit in greased 9 x 13 casserole dish. Crumble 6 cookies on top. Repeat the layer. Slice butter on top and pour Amaretto over the fruit. Sprinkle almonds on top. Bake 20 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Low protein, Fruit, Side dish.
