Ingredients/Components
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- large can sliced peaches - 1 item
- can pineapple chunks - 1 item
- flour heaping - 2 Tbsp
- can apricots - 1 item
- apricot juice
- jar apple rings - 1 item
- can pear halves - 1 item
How to make hot fruit casserole:
Sauce:1 c. apricot juice1 c. brown sugar1/2 stick margarine2 Tbsp. flour (heaping) Drain apricots, saving juice. (Add pear juice to make 1 cup if necessary.) Also add 1 tablespoon apple ring juice for color. Drain remaining fruits and arrange in casserole dish. Melt butter in saucepan. Mix flour and sugar and add to butter. Add juice to mixture and blend. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. When sauce has thickened, pour over fruit. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Heat at 350° until hot and bubbly.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pineapple, Main dish.
