Hot chicken salad
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped celery - 2 c
- whole chicken breasts - 4 item
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- cream of chicken soup - 1/2 c
- can water chestnuts - 1 oz
- onion rings - 1 c
- hard-boiled, cooked eggs - 3 item
How to make hot chicken salad:
Take skin and bones from chicken; cut meat into 1-inch pieces. Mix chicken with rest of ingredients, except cheese and onion rings, and turn into a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan or casserole. Top with cheese and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Sprinkle onions over all and bake 15 minutes longer. Serves 12.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, One Dish meal.
