Hot chicken salad
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- sliced almonds - 1/2 pkg
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 tsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- diced celery - 1 c
- sliced mushrooms - 1 c
- cooked chicken, cubed - 2 c
- cooked rice - 1 c
- can water chestnuts - 1 item
- cornflake crumbs - 1/2 c
- can peas optional - 1 item
- Topping:1/2 stick margarine, melted
How to make hot chicken salad:
Topping:1/2 stick margarine, melted1/2 c. cornflake crumbs1/2 pkg. sliced almonds Fold together all ingredients, except topping. Put in casserole (may be frozen at this point).Topping: Mix the melted margarine and cornflake crumbs. Sprinkle evenly over chicken mixture. Sprinkle almonds over topping. Bake 35 minutes at 350°.
